The ongoing issues with some AMD reference 7900 XTX has resulted in a handful of customer returns. The issue is such that if it’s going to happen you will know within the first hour of running the GPU, if it doesn’t happening almost immediately, then the cooler is flush and mated properly to the ASIC & PCB.
Given the fact that a small subset of users do have returns for this issue, a refund is available, or a replacement with a Sapphire PULSE AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XTX (11322-02-20G) will be made available at no cost. Bitworks is bearing the additional cost of swapping for the PULSE to make users whole that want a better solution at the same cost. We have a shipment coming this week and will deliver units to any customers that want a replacement instead of a refund.
We have been asked about a swap to a NITRO+ 7900 XTX, while we wish we could also offer that at no cost, the NITRO is significantly more expensive, however for $100 customers can upgrade to the NITRO, they are also shipping this week.
